I've got over 10,000 DVDs in my collection many of which are imported. These often arrive scratched and my machine means I don't have to deal with the disappointment of sending the discs back, I can just repair them.

I bought a reconditioned version on Amazon and it's the best £249 I've ever spent!"

"The Compact is a great little introductory machine and I'm chuffed to bits with it. I wanted to test out whether offering a disc repair service to my customers would be worthwhile and this allows me to do this without a huge outlay.

Within 24 hours of the machine being in operation I've already made a couple of people very happy, restoring a playstation game back to working order and repairing a load of scratched CDs that had been scuffing around on the floor of the car.

In terms of service, everyone I've spoken to at TDR has been so helpful and they're a great company with a great attitude."

"I recently purchased a brand new cd / dvd repair machine off eBay. It cost me £22 and boasted the ability to repair, polish and clean cd's, games and dvd's.. Great!!.... Well, it would have been great had it not melted after several attempts at polishing my very first disc.

I realised immediately that I was going to need something a little more substantial.. So I contacted TDR by email and then by telephone and discussed the differences between their machines and the cheap one I bought on eBay.

They assured me that their machine could repair a disc with moderate scratching with just one 5 min cycle.. So, having been left somewhat sceptical after my previous experience, I bought the TDR compact. The difference in quality was noticeable as soon as I first lifted it from the box. The plastic casing is manufactured to last and the internal motor is substantial. Even the ball bearings and housings for the polishing pads are quality.

My first attempt at a repair got the full 5 min cycle, as I expected it to need several to get it scratch free. However it came out perfect first go.

I am very very impressed with this machine.. It wasn't cheap, but worth every penny. I am equally impressed with TDR customer services, they were helpful when I first enquired and I can tell by the way they dealt with my order that should I have any warranty issues, it won't be a problem.

If you are in the market for a cd repair machine, I can recommend the TDR compact as a brilliant machine.."

This disc cleaner is brilliant! - 14/12/2010

"This disc cleaner is brilliant. I attacked a dvd with scissors just to see how good it would work. I only put the disc on a 5 minute setting and it worked - the dvd played absolutely fine! There was only a very minor trace of scratch left. As well as repairing discs for the school I've saved a lot of money by repairing my son's scratched Xbox 360 games. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend the machine or TDR."
