Poole Central Library is the first library in the country to offer a repair service for CDs, DVDs and Blu-ray discs in partnership with TDR.
Using state-of-the-art machinery, they are able to remove scratches from all formats of disc in a while-you wait or collect-later service. The prices are extremely competitive, starting at just £1 for music CDs.
In addition to offering this service to the public, the library relies on the machine to ensure every one of the discs in its lending catalogue is in pristine condition.
"We repair all the discs for the Poole libraries and our disc repair machine is in use every single day. It’s so quick and easy to use and means that we can be sure we are lending out discs that are in ‘as new’ condition and won’t jump or skip."
Margaret Duckmanton, Poole Central Library
