Dorset disc repair company recognised as a shining Beacon...

Total Disc Repair (TDR) has been announced as the latest company accepted into the prestigious Beacon South West network of companies, having been recognised for its quality management, workflows, innovation and growth.

Becoming an accredited Beacon South West company marks TDR as a leading organisation. It highlights the company as having one of the region's top performing business models and recognises its ambition and proven track record of success.

Based in Christchurch, Dorset, TDR's disc repair machines service the industry by polishing scratches out of DVDs, CDs and games discs, allowing the laser to read the data again. The company has also taken a sustainable approach in promoting disc repair services to encourage people to repair their discs rather than replace them, resulting in fewer used discs ending up in landfill.

TDR was established in 2001 and quickly became Europe's largest CD repair lab. Between 2006 and 2009, TDR reformed its business model as repairing discs became increasingly mainstream with multinationals such as Asda, Blockbuster and LOVEFiLM introducing the service for their rental stock. The company's ability to identify and adapt to the changes in the marketplace have been core factors that have contributed to TDR's success.
